Electrical Engineer (MEP)

Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer with 2–4 years of experience to join a growing MEP engineering team in Concord, MA. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of building projects while developing technical expertise and client-facing skills.


The ideal candidate is on the path toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure and is eager to take on increasing responsibility in both design and client interaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or residential building projects
  • Perform engineering calculations, load analysis, and equipment selection
  • Assist in the preparation of construction documents, including drawings and specifications (AutoCAD/Revit)
  • Interpret and apply applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams (mechanical, plumbing, structural) to deliver coordinated designs
  • Participate in client meetings and contribute to technical discussions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, contractors, and vendors throughout project lifecycle
  • Support construction administration activities, including site visits and field observations
  • Contribute to energy-efficient and sustainable design solutions


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in electrical design, preferably within an MEP or building systems environment
  • EIT certification or actively working toward PE licensure (PE not required)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
  • Working knowledge of NEC and other relevant codes
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and project teams
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
