Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics, or Electronics Engineering Technology.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant industry experience in a Hardware Systems Design or Test Engineering Design role.
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering, electronics, and computer architectures.
- Understanding of high-level programming languages (LabVIEW, TestStand, C/C++/C#)
- Demonstrated understanding of the following concepts and principles:
- Sources of measurement error
- Appropriate selection of instrumentation and equipment
- Understanding of schematics and wiring diagrams
- Integration of hardware and software
- Bill of Materials creation and review
- Familiarity with CAD and PCB design tools
- Statistical analysis of data (Cp, Cpk, GR&R)
Preferred Skills:
- Hands on use of schematic capture tools and PCB design tools
- Knowledge in Component Supplier Selection
- Knowledge in Compliance Certifications (CE, UL, TUV, Etc.)
- Hands on use of Hardware Platforms and Instruments
- Hands on use of LabVIEW and Test Stand
Role Responsibilities:
- Engage with a diverse range of customers, external alliance partners, and suppliers to design, implement, and sustain custom solutions.
- Create requirements documents, statements of work, and Bills of Materials.
- Define and execute project plans, lead milestones, and conduct reviews to ensure systems meet requirements and are ready for deployment.
- Specify, design, prototype, test, and deploy turnkey automated solutions.
- Direct support personnel, oversee project technical deliverables, guide technical decisions, and resolve field issues.
- Travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 25%) to support project objectives.
