Electrical Controls Engineer
Value Stream – Engineering
Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm Monday – Friday
Overtime may be required.

 

Essential Functions
Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical components, products, and KEITH
systems.
Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support,
documentation, and test activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and
customer requirements.
Operate computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform
engineering tasks.
Work with production leaders and operators to solve problems with production
equipment and/or process through debugging, repair, troubleshooting, and continual
improvement of electrical systems.
Recommend and implement techniques that enhance design performance, reduce cost,
and improve assembly processes and equipment.
Create and maintain existing automation, designs, and PLCs.
Work from blueprints, sketches, CAD, Cam files.
Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to
design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety
standards.
Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously with limited supervision with
defined timelines.
Assist in the creation of electrical controls and participate in projects related to new
automation equipment and repairs of existing equipment.
Other duties may be assigned.
Technology & Knowledge
Electrical schematic drawings (CAD), Autodesk preferred, but not essential.
3D Modeling Software (Inventor experience a plus.)
NEC, UL, CE
PLC, HMI programming experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree Electrical Engineering with PE License preferred.
Or significant experience in industrial controls field. (Electrician, Programmer, System
integration, Panel builder.)
Automation or Robotic experience a plus.
Minimum of 1-year electrical panel design and build experience preferred.
Solid knowledge of electrical and control engineering principles.
Working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
Lean Manufacturing experience a plus.
Proficient with all complex measuring equipment.
Able to travel when necessary.
Minimum of 18 years of age.
Able to communicate in English with team members (Speak and reading, writing ability
required.)
May be required to pass employer performance tests including pre-employment drug
screening.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship now or in
the future.

Work in both office and production environments.

Electrical instruments.
Other office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Able to sit or stand for 8 to10 hours at a time.
Able to lift 25 lbs.
