Job Description

Join a structured Electrical Assembly Apprentice Training Academy where you receive in-depth, hands-on training in mechanical and electrical builds of customer products. You will learn to read and interpret point-to-point wiring schematics and diagrams for 480V, 120V, and 24V systems, and gain practical experience in crimping, pulling, terminating, and installing UL panels and subassemblies. After successfully completing the academy, you will move into a production role assembling, wiring, and testing industrial control panels and switchgear systems in a clean, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with mechanical and electrical builds of customer products during the training academy and in production.
  • Assemble, wire, and test industrial control panels and switchgear systems with a focus on 3‑phase power distribution.
  • Pull, route, and secure wire, crimp wire ends, install wiring, and perform point‑to‑point testing to verify proper connections.
  • Use tools such as multimeters, wire strippers, crimpers, torque wrenches, and other hand and power tools to complete electrical assembly tasks.
  • Work under direct, close supervision with frequent monitoring of output during the training period and early production stages.
  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions, including visual aids, diagrams, and electrical schematics.
  • Work primarily in a designated cell unit, wiring different sections of the unit according to client specifications using point‑to‑point schematics.
  • Perform real-time point‑to‑point testing to ensure accurate wiring, proper terminations, and no issues with wires or housings.

Essential Skills

  • Basic electrical wiring or assembly experience preferred, with a strong interest in developing advanced electrical assembly skills.
  • Ability to read or willingness to learn to interpret point‑to‑point electrical schematics and diagrams for 480V, 120V, and 24V systems.
  • Ability and drive to learn to interpret blueprints, graphs, and schematics related to electrical and mechanical assemblies.
  • Basic math skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
  • Comfort using hand and power tools commonly used in electrical and mechanical assembly.
  • Willingness to work under close supervision and accept feedback during training and early production stages.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate wiring, labeling, and testing of panels and assemblies.
