EHS Specialist [ML-14806]

An international aerospace manufacturing firm is seeking an EHS Specialist who will work closely with the site management in directing occupational health and safety programs at the facility. The EHS Specialist will be tasked with helping to establish and maintain a positive safety culture across the facility. Knowledge of ISO 14001 is strongly preferred.

The Role:

• Help develop, strategize, and implement a long-term plan for the EHS function.
• Promote continuous improvement efforts in the EHS function.
• Audit and track compliance with lockout/tagout, fall protection, confined space, and other relevant safety programs.
• Monitor program compliance and conduct EHS audits.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in OHS, IH, Physical Science/Engineering
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience
• Knowledge of ISO 14001
• Strong experience building Safety Programs and Policies
• Experience within a heavy manufacturing (or similar) environment
• Strong communication skills, ability to engage with employees at all levels
