Overview

The eCommerce / Amazon Account Strategist serves as the primary strategic partner and day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients, acting as a trusted advisor responsible for driving long-term growth, performance optimization, and brand control across Amazon.


This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, with ownership over account planning, timelines, and execution across catalog, advertising, and operational functions.


You will lead data-driven strategy, deliver executive-level performance insights, and proactively communicate results through regular client updates and recaps. Internally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional subject matter experts to guide forecasting, catalog and creative enhancements, case management, and scalable advertising and growth strategies.




Type: Direct hire, Remote

Schedule: Regular day hours

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000

Bonus Eligible?: Yes, ranging from 10% - 30% annually




eCommerce / Amazon Account Strategist Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience managing and scaling brands within Amazon Seller Central and/or Vendor Central, with ownership of account health and long-term growth strategy
  • Proven ability to develop and execute end-to-end Amazon growth strategies across catalog, advertising, operations, and brand protection for multi-ASIN and multi-brand portfolios
  • Strong working knowledge of Amazon Advertising (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display), including goal setting, performance optimization, and ROI analysis
  • Advanced expertise in catalog management and optimization, including listings, variations, suppression resolution, compliance, and creative best practices aligned with Amazon policies
  • Confidence leading client-facing strategy discussions, presenting performance insights, and translating complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (creative, advertising, operations, analytics) to execute against client objectives and timelines
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to leverage Amazon reporting, forecasting, and performance metrics to inform strategic decisions
  • Exceptional communication, organization, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts in a fast-paced, remote environment




eCommerce / Amazon Account Strategist Preferred / Priority Qualifications

  • Experience in Outdoor Sports or regulated product categories on Amazon
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Background on the brand, manufacturing, or CPG side of an Amazon-focused business
  • Advanced Amazon expertise beyond core account management, including policy navigation, operational workflows, or marketplace expansion
  • Experience in retail or buying roles (ecommerce or brick-and-mortar) with exposure to assortment, margin, and merchandising strategy
  • Demonstrated success working in a fully remote environment with strong ownership and accountability




eCommerce / Amazon Account Strategist Duties

  • Act as the lead strategist and trusted advisor for assigned Amazon accounts, owning client strategy, relationship management, and growth outcomes
  • Build and manage account plans, timelines, and forecasts, ensuring alignment across catalog, advertising, and operations
  • Oversee performance optimization across listings, advertising, and operational health, identifying risks and growth opportunities
  • Deliver clear, proactive, and data-driven client communication, including regular updates, meeting recaps, and executive-level reporting
  • Partner with internal teams to guide catalog enhancements, creative updates, case management, and advertising initiatives
  • Analyze Amazon performance data to surface insights, measure progress against goals, and inform strategic recommendations
  • Ensure adherence to Amazon policies and best practices, proactively addressing compliance or suppression issues
  • Drive the development of scalable, repeatable growth strategies that support long-term brand success on Amazon
  • Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and execution
