Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Echocardiographer to collaborate with Medical Providers and Medical Assistants in delivering exceptional patient care management, organization, and communication. The role involves exercising professional judgment to provide healthcare services, including the application of imaging services.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with medical providers and assistants to manage patient care effectively.
  • Apply imaging services using professional judgment to ensure high-quality healthcare delivery.
  • Conduct testing according to standard echocardiography and stress echocardiography protocol and procedures.
  • Prepares preliminary report for interpreting physician review.
  • Records patient information into the EHR system.
  • Prepare paperwork prior to patients visit.
  • Review patient files for cardiac history and indication for testing, medications prescribed and cardiac history.
  • Works with the physician to ensure patient testing occurs for all studies in a timely and organized fashion.
  • Prepare patients for stress echo, stress testing or transthoracic 2D echo study.
  • Assists with IAC Accreditation (every 3 years)

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in ultrasound and echocardiography.
  • Must have Cardiac Sonographer Certification.
  • Experience as an Echo Tech preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Imaging Program.

Work Environment

The role is based at a well-equipped imaging and breast center located in Newport News, VA. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $87360.00 - $97760.00/yr.
