The Power Platform Administrator is responsible for the governance, security, administration, monitoring, and operational support of Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio). The role ensures platform stability, compliance, cost control, and secure enablement of citizen and pro developers.
Platform Administration & Governance
- Administer Power Platform environments (Dev/Test/UAT/Prod) including creation, configuration, backup, and lifecycle management
- Define and enforce governance policies (DLP, environment strategy, naming conventions, ALM standards)
- Manage tenant-level settings, capacity allocation, and licensing compliance
- Maintain Center of Excellence (CoE) toolkit and governance dashboards
Security & Compliance
- Configure and manage Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies
- Implement role-based access control (RBAC) for apps, flows, and environments
- Ensure compliance with organizational security, audit, and regulatory standards
- Monitor connectors, custom connectors, and third-party integrations
Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor platform health, usage, performance, and failures
- Troubleshoot and resolve Power Apps / Power Automate / Power BI issues
- Handle L2/L3 support, incident management, and root cause analysis
- Coordinate with Microsoft Support for escalations
Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- Define and support ALM pipelines using Power Platform Pipelines / Azure DevOps / GitHub
- Manage solution imports/exports and versioning
- Support CI/CD best practices for Power Platform solutions
Enablement & Adoption
- Support citizen developer onboarding and best practices
- Publish standards, guardrails, and documentation
- Conduct platform awareness sessions and governance reviews
Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Power Apps (Canvas & Model‑Driven)
- Expertise in Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, error handling)
- Good understanding of Power BI administration (workspaces, gateways, capacity)
- Experience with Power Platform Admin Center and M365 Admin Center
- Familiarity with Dataverse, connectors, and custom connectors
- Working knowledge of Power Platform Pipelines / ALM

- Power Platform CoE Starter Kit implementation and maintenance
- DLP policy design and enforcement
