Our projects involve supporting the Public and Private sectors with a focus on stormwater conveyance including alternative delivery projects. This is a unique opportunity to oversee all aspects of water projects with a diverse project / client base that has the potential for significant growth.  Primary responsibilities include operational oversight, technical thought leadership, staff development, business and strategy development, client management, profit, loss, and leadership.

What You’ll Do:

As a key contributor on our team, you’ll support the design and delivery of stormwater and drainage solutions for a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects alongside other Engineers & Project Managers by working on both bid-build and design-build efforts, and applying your technical expertise to:

  • Develop plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Design roadway drainage systems, including culverts, closed systems, and erosion/sediment control
  • Stormwater design for projects including both bid-build and design-build projects
  • Conduct bridge hydraulic studies and stormwater modeling using tools such as OpenRoads Designer (ORD), HY-8, and HEC-RAS
  • Prepare technical reports and coordinate permitting with local and state agencies
  • Prepare and or review permits and permit exhibits
  • Mentor other engineers and interns, fostering team growth and knowledge sharing

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in water resources or drainage engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan or ability to obtain a license within 6 months
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and ArcGIS
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • MDOT, OpenRoads Designer Drainage & Utility and/or HEC-RAS, SRH-2D, SWMM knowledge/experience is a plus!

Compensation:

The approximate compensation range for this position is $95k - $140k. This compensation range is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation is dependent upon factors such as education, qualifications, experience, skillset, and physical work location.
