Summary

Documentation and Funding Specialist - This position performs a variety of duties both clerical and technical. Major responsibilities include coordinating the processing of loans; from issuing out loan documents to the funding of various vendors. This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities

• Produce customer documents based on various points of information including system programs, grids and other documents utilizing the company’s processing system.
• Analyze customer signed loan documentation to ensure satisfaction of company underwriting guidelines.
• Obtain and/or provides any missing information to complete required file documentation.
• Meet processing time frames, as provided.
• Review all documentation, i.e., credit report, legal lands, etc., and immediately notifies team of irregularities relative to standard underwriting guidelines.
• Ensures that loan documentation meets relevant requirements (e.g., appropriate legal descriptions, signatures and dates).
• Follows up for all loan supporting documents such as insurance certificates, invoices, etc.
• Communicate any necessary exceptions/incomplete files to credit department for review.
• Maintain open communication with team members and operations managers.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Associate's (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school preferred.
• Strong technical skills and familiarity with business communications and sales processes.
• Ability to learn new software; Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Detail oriented, able to work independently and have exceptional organizational skills.
• Ability to make decisions and act independently.
• Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects independently and concurrently.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in working well within a fast paced, dynamic environment with a high sense of urgency.
