We are seeking a highly motivated, innovative, and enthusiastic staff member to join our Benefits and Community Support Division as a Division Manager.

The Benefits and Community Support (BCS) Division Manager serves as the strategic leader for the BCS Division of the Larimer County Department of Human Services. This position is responsible for the Food Assistance Program, Health First Colorado, Child Care Assistance Program, Cash Assistance Programs, Low Income Energy Assistance Program, and Child Support. The position is an integral member of the Executive Leadership Team, reporting to the Deputy Director. The position also exhibits strategic leadership and emphasizes collaboration to draw together resources throughout the County, State, and other counties in Colorado to consistently present a cohesive, coordinated, and positive image for Larimer County Human Services.

This position is a hybrid position and will require at least one day/week in the office. You will be required to have adequate internet access and space for remote work. Larimer County provides a one-time remote work stipend to assist with equipment and office supply needs for remote workspaces.What you'll be doing:
  • Leading the division's management team, reviews and resolves internal issues, and develops policy and procedures.
  • Driving changes and improvements in all program areas to better serve customers.
  • Maintaining programs, outcomes, performance metrics, and financial integrity through data collection, interpretation, and evaluation; provides monthly and quarterly reports of program progress to local, state, and federal entities.
  • Assisting in strategic planning and in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Taking an active role in representing Larimer County's interests and working collaboratively with other counties, the State offices, and the Colorado Human Services Director's Association.
  • Remaining well-versed on current issues, laws, and regulations regarding benefits programs and providing guidance to staff at all levels as required.
  • Responsible for managing budgets and allocations, including making required adjustments to revenues or expenses throughout each fiscal year.

  • Promotes coordinated service delivery that reflects a consistent, professional, and positive representation of Larimer County Human Services.
All candidates will be screened for the following required minimum qualifications. Any candidate who does not meet all of the qualifications listed as required will be eliminated from the process.
  • Six (6) years of experience in a related human service field or performance of similar duties, including experience in management of programs and personnel required, with at least three (3) years of experience in supervision and administration of human services programs required.
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Work, Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, Human Services, Business or Public Administration, or a related field required.
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire required.
