Job Title: Distribution Engineer
Job Description
As a Distribution Engineer, you collect and analyze field data to support the design of overhead and underground power distribution systems. You work closely with experienced engineers, designers, and project managers while using industry-standard design and GIS tools to develop safe, reliable, and efficient distribution solutions. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an entry-level engineering graduate to build a strong foundation in the power and utility sector, contribute to large-scale utility projects, and grow into a long-term career in engineering and design.

Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment that combines office-based and field-based activities. You work closely with advanced engineers, designers, and project managers, using tools such as AutoCAD, CAD platforms, GIS systems, and specialized distribution design software including SPANS, CREWS, DDS, and PoleForeman. Your time is split between computer-based design work and on-site field work, where you gather data and observe existing power distribution infrastructure. Travel to project sites is required, with mileage reimbursed in accordance with company policy. You join a collaborative, professional engineering setting that supports learning, mentorship, and growth while contributing to major projects for large investor-owned utilities in the power and utility sector.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cranberry, PA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $30.00/hr.
