Distribution Engineer

Job Description

As a Distribution Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting infrastructure design and analysis for a major utility client. Initially, you will focus on projects involving infrastructure identified for repair, utilizing tools like DDS and Crews, a version of SAP. Over time, you will be trained to handle make-ready work and Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) work. This role does not require any fieldwork.

Responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure design and analysis for repair projects.
  • Utilize DDS and Crews software to complete work orders.
  • Participate in make-ready and Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) work after training.
  • Collaborate with the Utility Energy Division to enhance distribution and reliability.
  • Grow with the department, which is experiencing significant growth.
  • Develop expertise in utility industry work, potentially across different states.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in design and power distribution.
  • Experience with distribution design and electrical engineering.
  • Familiarity with power delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of DDS and Crews software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in the utility industry is a plus.
  • Interest in pursuing FE and PE licenses is encouraged.

Work three days a week at the office and two days from home after training. The role involves working with a dynamic team in a growing department with opportunities to advance and potentially lead projects. This is a Contract position based out of Taylor, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $34.00/hr.
