Distribution Center Manager

US-based distribution company is looking to hire a Manager to lead operations for their 180k sq ft Distribution Center in Maryland. The Distribution Center Manager will have full responsibility for leading all day-to-day operations of the warehouse facility, to include the following:

• Supervise, motivate, and lead a team of 20-30 employees
• Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the goals of the warehouse are being met
• Identify opportunities to streamline and further automate warehouse operations
• Oversee all daily warehouse operations including picking, receiving, shipping, maintenance, delivery schedules, and driver routes
• Respond promptly to any exceptions/issues and provide a high level of customer service
• Train new employees on company policies, safety compliance, and warehouse procedures
• Oversee cycle counts and ensure strong inventory control
• Manage employee scheduling and time cards
• Investigate and resolve any issues in regards to inbound or outbound shipments

The Distribution Center Manager must possess the following:

• 10+ years of warehouse or distribution operations experience
• 5+ years of management experience including hiring, firing, training, and coaching
• Prior success with process improvement and driving automation
• Experience with industrial products preferred
• Forklift Certification

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
