Role Description
An Information Technology & Business Shared Services presence is established in Hyderabad, India with the objective of providing information technology application development and support services
The Distribution Resource Planner works alongside the Regional Distribution Planner in guaranteeing uninterrupted supply to customers and/or Eastman sites by balancing supply, demand and inventory. The role serves in active partnership on all supply related questions from business partners (BO Management, Demand Manager, Product Quality, Sales, Logistics, Customers Service, Manufacturing and Supply Planner). This person will work closely with Global planning and functionally reports to the Supply Chain Manager.
Inventory: Oversee all inventory movement activities, maintain optimal stock levels, and manage replenishment orders. Handle aged and blocked inventory, coordinate relabeling, and perform monthly reconciliations for stock held at third‑party warehouses and consignment locations.
Planning: Monitor the 6‑month rolling supply plan for assigned imported products in alignment with the regional planner. Execute key supply chain analytics to maintain an optimal demand–supply balance, including coordination of drumming schedules and vessel arrangements.
Projects & Coordination: Identify and drive process, tool, and knowledge improvement initiatives. Support implementation of enhancements, including optimization of shipping modes, load utilization, and packaging to balance cost and inventory efficiency.
Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely analysis and reporting. Review demand data, track forecast accuracy, and support safety stock and target inventory evaluations for the region. Maintain compliance with Corporate SOPs and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
Safety: Adhere to Eastman’s safety and wellness standards, complete mandatory HSES training in TEDS, and actively participate in initiatives that strengthen safety culture.
Short-Term Planning: Develop and manage the 6–12 month rolling supply plan for assigned product lines. Serve as a key partner for supply‑related matters across functions, including Business Units, Demand Managers, Sales, Logistics, Customer Service, and Supply Planners.
Long-Term Planning: Support the Supply Manager in preparing the 24‑month supply plan for assigned product lines.
Demand Verification: Analyze 6‑month demand trends, track forecast accuracy, take corrective actions, collaborate with commercial teams on forecast changes, and document/report outcomes.
Analytics: Apply key supply chain analytics to maintain demand–supply balance, manage re‑ordering strategies, and respond to demand fluctuations.
OpEx: Participate in regional Operational Excellence sessions supporting business planning activities.
Metrics: Develop, track, and review inventory KPIs, including safety stock, dead stock, 60–100 day file, EEOA, and DQO. Understand and drive improvements in HOC metrics.
Master Data: Maintain and review master data settings to reflect changing conditions and enable effective supply planning.
Knowledge: Continuously build product and market understanding. Stay informed of business and product strategies for the assigned portfolio.
Reconciliations: Conduct monthly reconciliations of inventory levels at third‑party warehouses and ensure proper approvals for any adjustments.
