This is what you will do:

The Director of U.S. Access Marketingis responsible fordeveloping and deploying brand and therapeutic area focusedmarketingcampaignsand tacticsfortheAlexion’s U.S. portfolio.This roleworks closely with accessstrategyleadtodevelopa tactical plan supporting overall access strategiesandobjectives. This roleinvolves creating and refining access-related, customer-facing marketing materialssupporting tactical plan in collaboration withmatrix and cross functional partnerssuch as brand marketing leads,HEOR, clinical, and account teams, across customers (payers, providers, channel/trade partners,specialtypharmacies (SPs))that result ina positivecustomer experience.This role will focus on in-market andlaunch product marketing campaigns for multiple customer types.Additionalresponsibilities includemanaging budget and agency partners,conducting market research, collecting customer feedback from accountteamsand designing targeted marketing materials to address customer concerns andoptimizeaccessvia omni channel.This role is based in Alexion’s Boston headquarters and reports to theExecutiveDirector, US Access Strategy & Marketing.

You willbe responsible for:

  • Leadingdevelopment and management of the US managed care marketing plan for assigned productsin close collaboration with access strategy leads
  • Leadingdevelopment of marketing programs, tools and resources,legal,medicaland regulatory review and approval process,training and roll out of approved materials to customerfacing account and field reimbursement teams
  • Leadingdevelopment and management of the payer value narrative and related materials for assigned productsin a competitivemarket place
  • Creating marketing campaignsincludingusing omni channel to engage customersand supplement traditional marketing engagement efforts
  • Ensuring alignmentwithotherproductfranchises’with multiple indications for consistent messaging to payer customersand access stakeholders
  • Collaborating closely withAccess Strategy Lead,HEOR, brand, clinical, and account teams to shape value messages and develop pre-approval information exchange (PIE) materials
  • Manage payer marketing budget,agencyand external vendors as necessary
  • Conducting market research and message testing to ensure the effectiveness of marketing materials
  • Leading field input sessions tocollectfeedbackfromfield basedaccountand,reimbursementteamstocontinuouslyalign marketing materials with key customerfeedback andinputsandstrategicprioritiesandinforming access strategy leads
  • Designing targeted marketing materials for channel accounts, tailored to address specific customer concerns andoptimizeaccess while conserving gross-to-net (GTN)
  • Partner with data analytics for targeting, pull through and opportunities to maximize engagements

You willneed to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant area of study
  • 5-7 years U.S. managed care or related experiencein a competitivemarket place, ORin a pharmaceutical marketing role
  • Demonstrated experience developing U.S. access marketing materials
  • Ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex strategic initiatives
  • Ability to understand the business models, influence/impact, and decision drivers of U.S. commercial and government payers as well as channel customers (i.e., specialty pharmacy and distribution, home infusion, etc.)
  • Working understanding of reimbursement methodologiesutilizedby commercial and government payers under the medical and pharmacy benefits
  • Demonstrated ability towork cross functionallyin a matrix environmenteffectivelyandcommunicate complex business challenges and data-driven recommendations to senior leaders
  • Experience reviewing marketing materials with medical, legal, and regulatory review committees
  • Up to 15%travelasrequired

We wouldprefer foryou to have:

  • MBA, MPH, or other advanceddegree
  • Rare disease medicines experience
  • Launch marketing experience

The annual base pay for this position ranges from$186,105.60 - 279,158.40 USD.Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility toparticipatein our equity-based long-term incentive program. Benefits offered include a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coveragein accordance withthe terms and conditions of the applicable plans.Additionaldetails of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
