Job Description

The Director of Sales Operations serves as the central commercial operator for a growing global technology organization, responsible for executing sales processes, managing partner and distributor agreements, coordinating field deployments, and ensuring that all commercial activities move through the organization with precision and speed. Working closely with executive leadership and cross‑functional teams in sales, legal, finance, product management, and engineering, this role designs and implements standardized frameworks for pricing, contract lifecycle administration, and proposal development to improve deal velocity, consistency, and risk mitigation across global markets. The Director ensures that all customer-facing transactions—including pricing, terms and conditions, and contractual agreements—are structured, compliant, and aligned with company objectives, while building and scaling systems and processes across CRM governance, pricing strategy, proposal generation, contract management, and partner commercial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute proposals, quotes, and sales orders with high accuracy, speed, and strict adherence to company policies and approval requirements.
  • Maintain disciplined use of the CRM system, ensuring pipeline hygiene, accurate forecasting data, and consistent sales operations workflows.
  • Manage the full commercial document flow from quote to purchase order, fulfillment, and deployment, ensuring traceability and completeness at every stage.
  • Coordinate closely with operations, finance, and administrative teams to ensure that all commercial documentation is complete, accurate, and properly archived.
  • Ensure all commercial activities follow established procedures, meet internal approval thresholds, and align with risk management and compliance standards.
  • Execute reseller agreements with ecosystem partners, ensuring terms are clearly defined, documented, and implemented in internal systems.
  • Negotiate and close distribution agreements in U.S. and international markets in partnership with legal, balancing commercial objectives with compliance and risk mitigation.
  • Support partner onboarding by coordinating documentation, training, and internal setup, and maintain accurate records of partner terms, pricing, and contractual obligations.
  • Oversee partner compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements and support ongoing partner relationship management from a commercial operations perspective.
  • Serve as the primary interface between the company and internal and external legal counsel on commercial matters.
  • Review terms and conditions for quotes, proposals, sales contracts, and partner agreements to ensure alignment with company standards and risk policies.
  • Validate purchase orders against approved quotes and company terms and conditions, resolving discrepancies before execution.
  • Ensure commercial operations comply with export controls, telecom and related regulations, anti‑corruption laws (including FCPA), and global trade requirements.
  • Act as project manager for customer pilots and commercial installations, driving planning, execution, and communication across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate field engineering, customer success, and operations teams to ensure on‑time deployments and smooth handoffs from sales to execution.
  • Track deployment milestones, risks, and customer communications, escalating issues proactively and ensuring stakeholders remain informed.
  • Ensure field teams have the documentation, schedules, and operational support needed to execute deployments successfully and meet customer expectations.
  • Implement and refine structured commercial processes, including deal governance frameworks and approval workflows, to support a global sales organization.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across pricing strategy, proposal generation, contract management, and CRM governance to increase efficiency and deal velocity.
  • Support complex, multi‑stakeholder enterprise sales cycles by providing commercial guidance, structured deal support, and consistent documentation.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in sales operations, commercial operations, deal desk, or contract management within enterprise technology or industrial operations.
  • Demonstrated experience in industrial networking, wireless systems, private 5G, or OT/IT convergence.
  • Proven track record managing distributor or reseller programs in a technology or industrial context.
  • Experience coordinating field deployments or customer success programs for complex technical solutions.
  • Experience working closely with legal teams on commercial contracts, including master service agreements and related documentation.
  • Strong experience with pricing strategy, contract lifecycle management, and proposal development for enterprise or industrial customers.
  • Proven ability to implement structured commercial processes, including deal governance frameworks and approval workflows.
  • Hands‑on experience with CRM systems to manage pipelines, opportunities, and sales operations workflows.
  • Experience with CPQ (Configure‑Price‑Quote) tools and contract management platforms to support scalable commercial operations.
  • Familiarity with complex, multi‑stakeholder sales cycles and enterprise agreements in global markets.
  • Experience supporting global sales organizations and partner ecosystems, preferably across multiple regions.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data, identify risks, and recommend process improvements.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deals, deployments, and stakeholder groups simultaneously.
  • Strong cross‑functional communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with sales, legal, finance, product management, engineering, operations, and customer success teams.
  • Understanding of legal compliance in areas such as export controls, telecom-related regulations, anti‑corruption laws (including FCPA), and global trade requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Legal experience or bg supporting commercial contracts, while not mandatory, is highly beneficial for managing contract terms, MSAs, and risk mitigation.
  • Experience in revenue cycle processes and commercial documentation flow from quote to cash.
  • Experience leading or contributing to risk mitigation strategies in commercial operations and contract structures.
  • Exposure to proposal management best practices and standardized frameworks for quote and proposal generation.
  • Familiarity with telecom, industrial, or connectivity‑focused environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in fast‑paced, innovative environments where next‑generation technologies such as private 5G, industrial automation, and AI‑driven solutions are central to the business.
  • Demonstrated ability to scale processes and systems to support rapid organizational growth and expanding global operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chatsworth, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
