Teachers Development Group (TDG) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving all students’ mathematical understandings and achievements through meaningful, effective professional learning opportunities for teachers and leaders.

Our math professional learning services include multi-day Seminars, ongoing Studio Cycles, and job-embedded coaching. These experiences allow educators to engage in mathematics together, plan for instruction, observe live classroom practice, analyze instructional decisions, and self-assess for continuous improvement.
Every aspect of our work is grounded in the beliefs that within each student resides a capable mathematical thinker and that the primary mathematical work of teaching is eliciting, understanding, and nurturing each student's capacity as a mathematical thinker and sense maker.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced professional to provide administrative leadership to the delivery of our programs and support the next stages of growth and impact of our work with education partners. This is an excellent opportunity for a person who is committed to math education, who believes that great teachers and leaders are the key resources needed to support and engage students and who is driven to provide top-quality services on time and within budget.
Our ideal candidate will excel at engaging with people–members of our consultant team, teachers, and school leaders—be a thoughtful listener and excellent communicator and be someone who can represent TDG to school partners with confidence throughout our service area.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Program Development and Delivery
Work with the CEO and Program Team to generate new ideas, revisions, and enhancements to program offerings. Develop an annual schedule of team member assignments and client visits. Manage grant fulfillment, including reporting, ensuring compliance with grant goals and deliverables. Work with CEO and Program Director to develop the focus and strategy of the Work Sessions with TDG staff, Leadership Seminars and related events.
Program Administration
Manage and maintain contracts and relationships with clients, including review of service proposals and negotiation and maintenance of schedules and calendars with school partners. Manage and provide oversight for Program budget. Provide oversight and approval of Consultant travel arrangements.
Human Resources
Work with CEO to determine staffing needs and staffing solutions. Manage the recruitment process for new Consultants. Develop and supervise the onboarding and professional learning processes for Consultants.
Administrative
Act as internal administrator and data entry manager for the organization's database. Serve as first point of contact for tech-related questions and collaborate with external database contractor. Set up and maintain an online learning platform for services. Oversee Accounts Receivable. Support grant-related activities such as budget development and request and distribution of grant awards. Serve as primary internal contact for the organization's website and coordinate with external contractors on these services. With Accounting Support Staff, review invoices, and payroll; oversee internal payroll process and approve monthly payroll.
WHERE YOU WILL WORK: The organization’s central office is in Portland, OR. This is a flexible, hybrid position. We are aiming for a mix of remote work and intentional, in-person collaboration. We will discuss a schedule tailored to a specific candidate.
