Your Role

As DON, you'll oversee nursing operations and set the clinical standard for the entire facility:

  • Lead and manage nursing teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care
  • Provide coaching, development, and mentorship to nurse leaders and staff
  • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, and state regulations
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workforce planning
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and drive quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to support treatment goals
  • Participate in leadership meetings and support strategic decision‑making

You'll have real autonomy at the facility level, backed by Acadia Healthcare's corporate resources, including dedicated nurse executive support and a recruiting partnership to help you build a strong, stable team.

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (Texas)
  • BSN strongly preferred
  • 3+ years RN experience (6+ preferred)
  • Behavioral health nursing experience: 1 year required, 2+ preferred
  • (inpatient, outpatient, psychiatric, addiction recovery, or related)
  • 2+ years of progressive leadership or management experience required
  • Prior DON or Nurse Manager experience preferred
