Drip EZ
JOB DESCRIPTION
Director of Marketing
The Position
Drip EZ is a rapidly growing consumer goods brand focused on BBQ, outdoor cooking, and kitchen accessories. Our goal is to create products people are proud to use and keep—tools that elevate everyday cooking and shared moments around food. We are a brand built around community.
We are looking for a Director of Marketing who is first and foremost a brand builder and community architect. Someone who can deepen the emotional connection we already have with our core audience, build content that earns attention, and scale community in ways that create a durable flywheel — not just impressions. If you are a storyteller who knows how to turn passion into a movement, read on.
This role is highly visible with significant autonomy for the right leader. You will report directly to the Founder/CEO with a clear path for growth as the brand expands into new channels and categories.
What Success Looks Like: First 12 Months
- Own and articulate a clear, compelling brand narrative that resonates across every consumer touchpoint — from social to shelf.
- Build a content engine that consistently results in high-quality, community-driven content across owned, earned and paid channels.
- Establish a community flywheel — influencer program, ambassador network, events and grassroots activations — that creates compounding brand equity.
- Bring structure and accountability to the marketing function: team clarity, automated KPI reporting infrastructure, and budget discipline.
- Improve Drip EZ's visibility and relevance across emerging channels, including how our brand appears within AI platforms and leverage AI to increase marketing output and insight across performance, content and creative.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Brand & Creative
- Develop our brand strategy, positioning, and visual identity across all consumer touch points to ensure consistency and grow brand awareness.
- Leverage current consumer data to create our muse and build meaningful audience segments.
- Ideate and execute marketing campaigns that create deep emotional connection with our target audience and build a red thread across the Drip EZ community.
- Own the dissemination and measurement of campaign content across online, social media, video, and in-store visuals.
- Provide creative direction for all marketing assets including photography, video, packaging, POP displays, and sales collateral.
Social Media & Community
- Lead social media strategy and content calendar across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest — with community building and engagement as the primary metric, not just reach.
- Develop an influencer marketing strategy spanning micro-influencers and brand ambassadors to larger awareness partnerships.
- Build grassroots community initiatives and events that authentically align with our culture and introduce Drip EZ to new consumers.
- Cultivate and grow owned community platforms as a long-term competitive moat.
Content
- Lead a scalable content strategy that serves brand storytelling, SEO, social, email, and retail sell-in simultaneously.
- Build and direct internal and external content production capabilities including video, photography, and written content.
- Develop editorial standards and a brand voice guide that creates consistency across all formats and channels.
- Partner with product and leadership teams to develop and lead go-to-market strategies aligned to target segments, ensuring content supports product launches, positioning, and relevance to the customer.
Growth, Channels & Analytics
- Oversee the performance marketing ecosystem — paid social, paid search, display, and affiliate — directing internal resources and agency partners to drive measurable consumer acquisition at efficient CAC.
- Develop and execute a strategy for emerging discovery channels, including Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), to improve how Drip EZ appears across AI-driven search, recommendation engines, and conversational platforms.
- Own email and SMS lifecycle marketing programs focused on onboarding, engagement, and LTV.
- Support early-stage wholesale and retail expansion with sell-in tools, visual merchandising support, and channel-specific marketing assets.
- Leverage marketing analytics and attribution tools to measure ROI, communicate results clearly to stakeholders, and make data-informed investment decisions.
Leadership & Operations
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 5-6 marketing professionals across disciplines.
- Direct third-party agencies and freelance partners with clarity and accountability.
- Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring every touchpoint reinforces brand trust, drives satisfaction, and strengthens long-term loyalty.
- Own and manage the annual marketing budget with disciplined P&L accountability.
- Create and maintain a yearly integrated marketing calendar with key deliverables tracked and delivered on time.
- Leverage AI tools and automation to increase team velocity and keep the function lean and high-output.
Desired Skills & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA preferred.
Experience
- 7–10 years of progressive marketing experience in consumer products with demonstrated success in brand building and community-driven growth.
- 3–5 years in leadership roles managing cross-functional marketing teams.
- Proven track record building consumer brands through content, community, and social — not just paid acquisition.
- Fluency in performance marketing to sufficiently direct agency partners and internal resources: able to assess strategy, interpret results, and hold partners accountable.
- Experience managing marketing budgets of $5M+ with P&L accountability.
- Track record of managing agency and vendor relationships effectively.
- Experience in outdoor, CPG, lifestyle, or enthusiast brand categories is a strong plus.
Key Competencies
- Brand Conviction — A strong, clear point of view on what makes a brand matter to people and the ability to define it, defend it, and build a team around it.
- Builder Mentality — Willing to own any project, roll up your sleeves, and figure it out. If you need a playbook handed to you, this isn't the role.
- Community Intelligence — A genuine understanding of how passionate communities form, grow, and self-sustain. You've built one before or been deeply embedded in one.
- Strategic Planning — Able to align stakeholder needs, build well-defined marketing plans, and deliver against them on time and within budget.
- Data Fluency — Comfortable with analytics and attribution. You don't need to run the tools personally — you need to know what questions to ask and how to act on the answers.
- AI-Forward Mindset — Proven interest or experience leveraging AI tools to increase team output, automate workflows, and stay ahead of the curve.
- Accountability — You deliver before being asked to. We don't micromanage here — we expect ownership and follow-through.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $150,000-$180,000 annual base + performance incentives
Benefits: Health & dental insurance, paid time off, 401(k) contribution
Location
- This is a highly collaborative role with a strong preference for Denver-based candidates.
- The position requires some travel to trade shows, events, and consumer activations.
DripEZ is building something special in outdoor cooking. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of the founding chapter — not someone looking for a comfortable seat. If you want autonomy, impact, and the chance to build a brand from the ground up, let's talk.
