We’re hiring a Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead a high-reliability electronics manufacturing environment focused on power electronics and control systems. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll own manufacturing, supply chain, and quality—helping the business scale while maintaining strong compliance across regulated industries like semiconductor, medical device, and aerospace/defense.
This is very much a player-coach role. You’ll set direction, but also stay close to the floor—working with teams, solving problems, and driving real operational improvements.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations (assembly, final build, testing, burn-in)
- Partner with engineering on new product introduction and custom builds
- Own production planning, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives
- Lead quality and compliance (QMS, CAPA, ISO 9001 / 13485 / AS9100)
- Manage suppliers and oversee materials, inventory, and logistics
- Mitigate supply chain risks (lead times, obsolescence, disruptions)
- Lead and develop cross-functional teams across ops, quality, and supply chain
What they’re looking for
- 8+ years in manufacturing/operations leadership within electronics
- Background in power electronics, controls, or similar products
- Experience in regulated environments (semiconductor, medical, or aerospace)
- Strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and standards (IPC, testing, etc.)
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Nice to have
- Lean / Six Sigma
- ISO audit ownership experience
- Engineering or technical degree
