About Zion Springs
Zion Springs is a 24-acre estate venue in the heart of Loudoun County, Virginia — home to a celebrated wedding venue, a boutique bed-and-breakfast with 11 suites, a licensed farm winery, and a growing retreat and events program. We're looking for a Hospitality Director who will be the connective tissue across every guest-facing and operational function on the property — someone who holds high standards as a personal value, not just a job requirement.
What You'll Lead
This role carries full oversight of seven areas:
- Food & Beverage — farm table dining, catering operations, winery service, and bar programs
- Lodging — 11-suite B&B guest experience from reservation through departure
- Housekeeping — suite turnover, linen management, and estate presentation standards
- Front & Back of House — event staffing, service flow, and day-of execution for weddings and private events up to 250 guests
- Transportation — shuttle and on-site transportation
- Services — massage, yoga, tours, concierge, reception, and other personal services
- Facilities Maintenance — Structures, automation systems, preventive maintenance across multiple buildings and 24 acres
What You'll Do
- Serve as the primary operational leader for all hospitality departments, reporting directly to the owner
- Develop and enforce service standards, SOPs, and training protocols across all teams
- Manage department leads and coordinate salaried and hourly schedules, time-off coverage, and staffing levels
- Oversee event execution for weddings and private gatherings, ensuring seamless front-of-house and back-of-house coordination
- Maintain the estate's physical environment to five-star standards
- Build and manage vendor and supplier relationships (linen, floral, catering, maintenance contractors)
- Create a system to monitor guest feedback and implement continuous service improvements
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, labor cost targets, and inventory controls
- Partner with the owner on programming, retreat offerings, and long-term hospitality strategy
What You Bring
- 5+ years in hospitality leadership across multiple departments (F&B, lodging, or events)
- Experience managing both hourly and salaried staff in a fast-paced event or venue environment
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead high-performing, service-oriented teams
- Strong working knowledge of facilities operations and vendor management
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A guest-first mindset with high personal standards for hospitality excellence
- Comfort working weekends and events as part of the regular schedule
Nice to have: boutique inn or estate venue experience, culinary training, wedding/events management background, property management platform familiarity, ServSafe certification, passion for farm-to-table and agritourism.
