The Director of Finance is the senior financial leader for ProCaps Laboratories and the primary financial advisor to the CEO. This role oversees all finance operations and is responsible for building and developing the broader finance function, while overseeing and partnering with the Accounting team.
This position plays a critical role in providing critical insights to the CEO, driving financial governance, and providing financial rigor to decision making in a fast-growing organization.
This is a builder role. The ideal candidate has operated in a lean, private company environment, built a team, and can move fluidly between strategic financial planning, operational analysis, and cross-functional business partnering. Experience in manufacturing or CPG with multi-channel DTC economics is strongly preferred
Requirements
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration required, MBA preferred
10+ years of progressive finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role
Private, founder-lead company experience is a plus
Multi-channel DTC experience and proficiency in direct-to-consumer economics
Technical & Functional Skills
ERP implementation or configuration experience in a finance capacity
Proven FP&A ownership; led annual budget process and presented financial results directly to CEO or board
Strong background in working capital management and CapEx ROI modeling
GAAP compliance and internal controls experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment
Advanced analytics capability (Power BI or similar)
Leadership & Professional Skills
Builder background; comfort working lean and building a team
Cross-functional range, having worked directly with manufacturing, marketing, supply chain, and operations leadership
Strong communication and presentation skills; comfortable reporting to a CEO in a founder-led environment
Highly analytical, organized, and able to translate complex data into clear business decisions
Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analysis
Lead the company's FP&A function including annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range financial modeling, and monthly variance and trend analysis
Own channel profitability reporting, including SKU-level margin analysis and trade spend classification
Serve as a strategic financial partner to department heads, providing guidance on pricing, viability of new channels, and resource allocation decisions
Build and deliver monthly executive reporting package to CEO
Working Capital & Capital Planning
Own cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and KPI tracking; optimize AP and determine opportunities for vendor payment term optimization
Formalize and own capitalization policy for PPE
Serve as a partner and advisor to the CEO on CapEx decisions and performance; develop business cases, ROI analysis, and payback modeling
Monitor capex performance against approved budgets and report results to the CEO. Partner with the Plant Controller on plant-level capital tracking
Departmental Finance & Business Partnering
Own budget accountability and serve as the cross-functional finance partner to all departments
Partner with and support HR on headcount planning, compensation frameworks, and benefits cost analysis
Provide financial oversight and approval of Corporate Controller and Plant Controller deliverables
Risk, Insurance & Contracts
Own the corporate insurance program: GL, product liability, D&O, cyber, and property
Review contracts and vendor agreements before execution and maintain centralized contract tracking
Own property tax filings and the ongoing relationship with external CPA firm on relevant matters
Own solar credit management and Nevada Energy Department reporting
Procurement Finance & Treasury
Own banking relationships and cash investment strategy
Analyze vendor payment terms optimization including early-pay discounts vs. cash flow trade-offs
Analyze FX exposure and hedging strategy for international raw material purchases
Serve as interim owner of AP optimization and procurement finance
Systems & Reporting Infrastructure
Define and own D365 financial reporting requirements
Partner with the Corporate Controller on COA governance and ERP integrity
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop the Corporate Controller, Plant Controller, and the broader finance function
Foster a culture of accountability, financial discipline, and continuous improvement
Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and a credible voice across the organization
