Director of Finance And Accounting

KLR Executive Search is partnering with Moss Home Solutions, a rapidly growing, founder-led real estate investment firm, to recruit a hands-on, strategic Director of Finance & Accounting. Reporting directly to the Executive Team, this individual will lead the Company's accounting and financial operations while helping build the processes, reporting, and infrastructure necessary to support continued growth throughout the Northeast.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting and financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Develop financial models, analyses, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making.
• Optimize accounting systems, processes, and internal controls to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Serve as the primary liaison to banking partners and external advisors.
• Partner with leadership across the organization to support growth initiatives and business planning.
• Identify opportunities to improve profitability, operational performance, and financial discipline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analytical skills.
• Experience in real estate, development, construction, wholesale distribution, or a similar entrepreneurial environment preferred.
• Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing organization.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $145,000 - $155,000, plus a performance-based bonus opportunity of up to $20,000 and a comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, skills, qualifications, and overall fit for the position.
