The Director of Corporate and Executive Recruiting is an exciting opportunity within the talent acquisition team at Vail Resorts. The person in this role must have the ability to lead change and deliver proven recruiting techniques to attract top to the organization. This person will be responsible for leading a team of recruiters and is also responsible for the delivery of all corporate new hires from entry level to executive. The person in this role is the primary contact for all Corporate and executive stakeholders. In addition, this person will be responsible for delivering the overall corporate recruiting strategy including recruitment branding, social media engagement and sourcing. This role is accountable for the department’s performance including time to fill, first six months of hire retention, and recruiter productivity.

  • Leads Corporate recruitment function, responsible for all Corporate new hire delivery, from executive to entry-level. Directs Corporate recruiter team to achieve long-term objectives and day-to-day delivery results
  • Accountable for department performance including time to fill, budgets & actual expenses, planned & actual hires, first six months of new hire retention, recruiter productivity, and candidate & hiring manager satisfaction
  • Transforms and continuously optimizes corporate recruitment processes, tools and team capabilities
  • Leads intra- and inter-departmental projects, directing others as appropriate to achieve desired project outcomes
  • Builds & operates new executive recruitment capability
  • Personally accountable for executive director and above new hires

This role is divided into two types of responsibility: Relationship Management and Delivery Management

Relationship Management:

  • Single point of accountability for Corporate and executive stakeholders:
    • Develops deep understanding of Corporate stakeholders’ businesses and TA needs
    • Resolves escalated issues. Ensures equitable resource allocations
    • Reports entity status and conducts periodic status reviews with the businesses
  • Establishes preferred search firm list and manages their performance/relationships
  • Develops recruiters’ goals, IDPs and performance ratings
  • Partners with Human Resources Business Partners to accomplish collective goals and objectives

Delivery Management:

  • Responsible for overall Corporate recruitment strategy & operations, including:
    • Recruitment branding
    • Social media engagement & interactions
    • Sourcing - employee, alumni & guest referral programs, proactive candidate networking & sourcing, tracking analytics
    • Assessments – cultural fit, leadership & core competencies
    • Balanced scorecard
  • Oversees team that fills requisitions on entity’s behalf; accountable to hiring managers for filled requisitions; reports delivery status
  • Directs day-to-day TA delivery operations based on entity strategies, including budgets, team and individual staffing assignments, candidate sourcing channels, candidate flow and operational metrics
  • Personally leads/conducts full life-cycle searches for Sr. Director and above level positions including sourcing, screening, acquisition and on boarding
  • Ensures recruiters are knowledgeable and capable; conducts people-related processes such as goal setting, performance ratings, etc.

Job Requirements

  • ​Bachelor’s degree in business, psychology, human resources or related field
  • Demonstrated strategic, transformation/change, and operational leadership experience
  • 8+ years of full life cycle recruiting, with progressively increasing responsibility
  • Search agency & corporate recruitment experience, including Director & above recruitment
  • Experience successfully planning and delivering projects, programs and process improvements
  • Proven experience leading a team to achieve recruitment objectives
  • 2+ years recruitment marketing and branding experience, including social networks
  • At least one year of experience leading Affirmative Action Planning and EEO Reporting
  • Demonstrated experience building and maintaining business relationships
  • Managing vendor relationships (including third party agencies and assessment vendor)
  • Experience successfully leading and implementing change
  • AIRS or other certified candidate sourcing credential
  • Deep experience using applicant tracking systems; experience building analytics (data tables, Excel macros, VLookups, etc.); proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
