Director, Healthcare Investment Banking - Healthcare Services

Citizens is seeking a Director to join the Healthcare Investment Banking group within Capital Markets & Advisory (“CM&A”).  The ideal candidate will bring deep M&A advisory experience in the Healthcare Services sector, along with established relationships with corporate clients and financial sponsors. In this role, you will leverage those relationships to drive strategic dialogue with both existing and prospective clients, generating advisory and transaction opportunities across Mergers & Acquisitions, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, and other advisory services.

You will serve as the primary architect of client engagements—leading discussions, developing, and delivering client presentations, and thoughtfully coordinating with product partners as appropriate. Primary responsibilities include

  • Generate investment banking revenues in various forms with the help of product partners
  • Establish and cultivate long-term relationships at the C-suite level of healthcare clients
  • Architect strategic ideas, research industry notes and trends to present to clients as well as internal risk management. 
  • Collaborate on cross-sell efforts with Citizens Commercial Bankers 
  • Help in the execution of deals 
  • Attend industry related conventions and conferences, to establish new and build on existing relationships while identifying industry trends

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated, long-term client relationships
  • Minimum 8+ years’ experience in Investment Banking and/or Capital Markets with a top ranked investment bank or commercial bank
  • Proven experience leading M&A mandates and working with Debt and Equity Capital Markets
  • Effective verbal and written communication and influencing skills
  • Highly organized with ability to multi-task
  • Strong credit acumen with superior market risk knowledge

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials 

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Series 79 & 63 licenses

Pay Transparency 

The salary range for this position is $275,000 to $300,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.  ​
