Director, Data & Analytics Planning

The Data & Analytics (D&A) Planning Director will have a three-point focus; owning the D&A Strategic Roadmap, ensuring D&A’s work is coordinated across our D&A brand and company teams, and leading the development, training, and career advancement of our D&A team, including leadership of the D&A Analyst Rotation and the Co-Op/Intern programs.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own the D&A Strategic Roadmap. Work with the CDAO, D&A leadership, Commercial Group, Technology and Brand/Corporate Partners to develop a 3-year roadmap

  • Develop and chair an operating framework for major cross-D&A initiatives. Ensure that D&A acts as an integrated unit

  • Develop and own D&A job families. Develop and oversee training programs for D&A (“hard” skills such as analytics, and “soft” skills such as presentation and influence). Develop career pathways for D&A employees. Host a cross-training program for D&A

  • Lead the D&A Analyst Rotation and Co-Op/Intern programs, including recruitment. Be the keeper of “evergreen” job postings for entry level D&A roles and chair screening of candidates using case studies

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Business or Mathematics required

  • MBA preferred

  • 7 - 10 years relevant experience in data & analytics, consulting, marketing, business analysis, data management / reporting, or other related area; MBA in lieu of experience accepted

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES

  • Ideal candidate has a blend of strategy development (ie MBA with consulting or large company experience), experience in coordinating multiple work groups, and exposure to developing training/development programs.
  • Previous experience in a Data & Analytics role is a definite advantage
  • Self-starter personality who can operate with minimal supervision
  • Understands marketing principles and strategy, and possesses strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with expertise in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, advanced functions, formulas, filtering, etc.) and database skills (e.g., SQL, Access, etc.) a plus
  • Ability to collect and synthesize information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with competing deadlines
  • Effectively interact at all levels of the organization across multiple functional areas. Strong influence skills and presentation skills for a senior executive audience is an advantage.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, project management and strong influencing skills required
  • Interest in the restaurant industry and desire to train in our restaurants to learn operations, and a strong desire to help shape the future at Inspire Brands
  • Minimal travel may be required
