About the RoleThe Director, Client Advisory owns the go-to-market strategy, execution quality, and commercial growth of key client engagements, acting as a trusted partner to senior leaders. The Director will manage a focused portfolio of high-impact accounts while contributing to company-level initiatives tied to revenue quality, client experience, and cross-functional alignment.What Youll DoYou will operate at the intersection of intelligence, community, and commercial strategy, translating retail insight and industry presence into meaningful business outcomes.You will:Lead executive positioning and retail strategy workshops to define client narrative, category positioning, and go-to-market approach.Architect 12-month retail authority and visibility roadmaps that define how clients show up across content, PR, events, and community.Align authority-building efforts with enterprise sales priorities, ensuring positioning supports real commercial objectives.Guide executive visibility across curated retail forums, including content, media, and industry conferences.Facilitate quarterly alignment with client go-to-market leadership to ensure strategy, messaging, and market engagement remain tightly connected.Partner cross-functionally across RETHINKs platform including teams in Insights & Intelligence, Authority & Editorial, Growth Marketing & PR, Ecosystem & Community, Programming & Events, and Strategic Account Influence to deliver cohesive client outcomes.Implement and track authority-to-revenue influence, measuring how positioning and visibility translate into market engagement.Drive account growth through renewals and strategic expansion, aligning additional services to client priorities.Clearly communicate and present the value and impact of deliverables to client stakeholdersIdentify and develop new client opportunities within the retail technology ecosystem, contributing to portfolio growth.Who You AreYou bring a combination of retail industry fluency, strategic thinking, and commercial orientation, with the ability to guide B2B technology companies on how they position, show up, and grow within the retail ecosystem.You are:Deeply fluent in the retail landscape, including retail technology, operations, digital commerce, and ecosystem dynamics.Commercially minded, with a strong understanding of enterprise sales cycles and experience supporting clients in building pipeline and pursuing growth opportunities in contributing to new business development.Experience advising senior executives, operating comfortably in high-trust, high-context environments.Skilled at shaping category narrative and thought leadership, translating complex capabilities into clear market positioning.Comfortable orchestrating across multiple levers of influence, including insight, content, PR, community, events, and account-based engagement.Able to connect industry authority to commercial outcomes, helping clients move from visibility to meaningful market traction.Demonstrated success growing client accounts and contributing to new business development through strategic relationship management, revenue expansion, and proactive opportunity identification.Backgrounds that fit well:Enterprise B2B product marketing or GTM leadership in retail techRetail technology or commerce platform leadershipIndustry analyst, research, or advisory rolesEcosystem, partnerships, or innovation roles within retail or commerceThis role is ideal for someone who wants to operate as a strategic partner to high-growth technology companies and play a direct role in shaping how they win in the retail market while helping define how a new category of go-to-market advisory is built.If youre excited by this intersection of the retail industry, strategy, and commercial impact, wed love to hear from you.
