Summary of Position
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing integrated email, SMS, and social media marketing strategies that drive engagement, lead generation, and revenue growth. This role combines lifecycle marketing and social media expertise to deliver cohesive, multi-channel campaigns aligned with client goals.
You will collaborate with clients and internal teams to build data-driven strategies, manage day-to-day execution, and continuously improve performance across channels. This position requires strong creative, analytical, and technical skills, along with the ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Strategy and Process Adherence: The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and executing integrated digital marketing strategies across email, SMS, and social media channels that align with client goals and overall marketing initiatives. This includes identifying growth opportunities across lifecycle and social channels, building and managing monthly content and campaign calendars, and ensuring all efforts align with brand standards and key performance indicators. The role also ensures adherence to internal processes, timelines, and agile workflows, maintaining clear communication around milestones, risks, and deliverables while supporting continuous improvement across campaigns.
- Execution: This role owns the end-to-end execution of campaigns across email, SMS, and social media. Responsibilities include building and managing email and SMS campaigns such as nurture sequences, newsletters, promotional sends, and automated workflows, including segmentation, scheduling, testing, and deployment. The specialist also manages social media accounts across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Pinterest, executing both organic and paid campaigns. This includes creating, scheduling, and publishing content, as well as managing and optimizing paid social campaigns, particularly within Meta Ads Manager, while ensuring accuracy and consistency across all campaign elements.
- Analytics and Results: The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for tracking, analyzing, and optimizing campaign performance across all channels using key metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, engagement, conversions, and ROI. This includes conducting A/B testing, leveraging data insights to refine targeting and messaging, and continuously improving campaign effectiveness. The role provides regular performance reporting and actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams, ensuring strategies are data-driven and aligned with business objectives.
- Collaboration & Communication This role works closely with designers, production teams, marketing managers, and clients to ensure alignment on campaign strategy, execution, and performance. The Digital Marketing Specialist serves as a point of contact for clients, providing guidance on digital marketing best practices and communicating performance insights and recommendations. The role also stays current on industry trends, emerging tools, and platform updates, ensuring strategies remain competitive while maintaining compliance with company standards, brand guidelines, and applicable regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in digital marketing, including email/SMS and social media.
- Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience with CRM and marketing platforms (HubSpot, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Salesforce, etc.).
- Experience with social media tools and platforms (Meta Ads Manager, Hootsuite, Agorapulse, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite and content creation tools.
- Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email is a plus.
- Strong project management and organizational skills in an agile environment.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite, and use of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
- High attention to detail with the ability to uphold company accuracy standards related to branding, seasonality, equipment, offers, disclaimers, and attribution.
- Proficient in leveraging AI-powered tools and platforms to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.
Working Conditions
The job is usually performed indoors in a traditional office setting. The position is a hybrid in-office role, with standard hours of work and days being 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position is based in the office from Monday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays. Occasional local travel may be required.
Activities include:
- Extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a computer monitor.
- The ability to communicate effectively orally with clients, candidates, management, and coworkers, both individually and in group settings, is crucial.
- Regular use of the telephone and email for communication is essential
- Hearing and vision within normal ranges are necessary for everyday conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
- It requires good manual dexterity when using standard office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, copiers/scanners).
- No heavy lifting is expected; exertion up to 30 lbs. of force (e.g., tablet, laptop, computers, office supplies) may occasionally be required.
