Job Description

Join our dynamic team in the food service industry, where you will have the opportunity to work as a utility worker, dishwasher, tray passer, or cook. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Assemble patient trays in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring all items are placed according to patient requests and therapeutic diet orders.
• Serve cafeteria customers in a timely and courteous manner.
• Handle cash accurately and operate the cash register proficiently.
• Prepare food for patients, cafeteria, and special functions.
• Clean work areas related to the preparation and serving of food.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in cleaning, mopping, sweeping, and other janitorial duties.
• Ability to sanitize and handle food safely.
• Experience in food service, line cooking, dishwashing, and hospitality.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of proper and safe use of applicable custodial equipment.
• Willingness to learn and grow.
• Appropriate maturity of judgment and high standards for work areas and appearance.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.
• No previous experience required, but the ability to learn and use established techniques is essential.

Work Environment

You will work in a hospital setting with a climate-controlled environment that includes a brand new café and an older kitchen.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis, MO 63111.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
