Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated DevOps Engineer Jr. to support enterprise cloud architecture design, development, and integration efforts within secure federal environments. This role involves working across multi-cloud platforms to build scalable, secure, and resilient cloud-native solutions while ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards.
The selected candidate will contribute to cloud architecture, DevOps/DevSecOps implementation, and system integration, while supporting modernization initiatives and maintaining high availability and performance across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and integrate cloud architectures and solutions across enterprise environments
- Support the implementation of secure, scalable, and resilient cloud-native applications
- Lead requirements analysis, system design, and architecture development for complex cloud and hybrid systems
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployment and integration
- Architect and deploy containerized applications using Kubernetes, Docker, and related technologies
- Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, monitoring, logging, and compliance controls
- Perform system integration, testing, validation, and troubleshooting across cloud environments
- Optimize system performance, scalability, reliability, and availability
- Conduct technical evaluations and trade-off analyses for architecture decisions
- Support cloud modernization and migration initiatives from legacy systems
- Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive resolution
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and design reviews for engineering teams
- Ensure adherence to cybersecurity standards, policies, and federal compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
- (Master’s: 6+ years | PhD considered in lieu of experience)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or cloud architecture
- Active or Interim Secret Clearance (ability to maintain required)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent (IAT Level II Certification)
- Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Experience implementing DevOps/DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Bash, Go, etc.)
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix systems, networking, and cloud security
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DoD or USAF cloud environments (e.g., Cloud One, Platform One)
- Knowledge of Zero Trust architecture principles
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Elastic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Familiarity with Identity and Access Management solutions (Active Directory, Azure AD, IAM)
- Experience with OpenShift or advanced Kubernetes platforms
- Experience working with external vendors and partners on cloud solutions
Certifications:
Required:
- IAT Level II Certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ or equivalent)
Preferred:
- IAT Level III Certification (for security-focused responsibilities)
