Developmen t Communic ations Associa te Job Descrip tion (Revised: April 5, 2026) Overview Boston Trinity Academ y is a Chris tian, colleg e-prepar atory school for studen ts in grades 6–12. Boston Trinity Academ y is seeking a proactiv e, flexible, and detail-orien ted individual to support the Developmen t Departmen t, which advances the mission of the school by engaging partner s and raising funds. This full-time position reports to the Director of Developmen t. As part of a small, collabor ative team, this role will adap t over time to balance priorities, workload, and individual strengths. The ideal candida te brings a positiv e attitude, strong initia tive, and the ability to give and receiv e feedback graciously while contributing to a team- first cultur e. Primar y Responsibilities Communic ations ● Lead execution of developmen t communic ations across print and digit al channels ● Write and produce donor -facing content, including: ○ Direct mail and online appeals ○ Mon thly e-ne wsletters 1 ○ Annual report and campaign materials ○ Event collateral such as the Spring Banque t program book ○ Website and donor communic ations ● Support segmen tation and distribution of campaigns and mailings ● Manag e or support phot ography, videogr aphy, and graphic design projects ● Organize and main tain the school’ s phot o and video library ● Collabor ate with the Director of Mark eting on social media content Grants ● Main tain a calendar of grant opportunities, deadlines, and reporting requir emen ts ● Resear ch and write grant proposals ● Compile evalua tion data and comple te grant reports Website ● Upda te and main tain developmen t-related content on the website and online giving tools Additional Responsibilities ● Assis t with campaigns and events as needed ● Serve as an advisor to studen ts Key Skills and Qualific ations ● Exceptional writing ability requir ed ● Strong attention to detail and ability to manag e multiple projects independen tly ● Collabor ative and relational, with the ability to work across diverse groups ● Flexible, adap table, and open to feedback ● Strong sense of design, clarity , and excellence within a budg et ● Commitmen t to excellen t donor experience and service Preferred Experience ● Strong working knowledg e of Micr osoft Office and Google Workspace ● Donor appeals, grants, journalism, phot ography, and/ or videogr aphy ● Experience with design or video tools such as Canva, Adobe, Final Cut, iMovie ● Familiarity with fundr aising platforms such as Blackbaud or GiveCampus Requir emen ts ● Bachelor ’s degr ee ● Enthusiasm for the school’ s mission and willingness to mak e a though tful financial gift each year (mos t emplo yees use payroll deduction) ● Willingness to sign the school’ s statemen t of faith How to Apply Salar y: $50,000-$75,000, depending on experience.
