Design Release Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mechatronics - Switches Design Release Engineer for our Contract Position (12+ Months) role with our client in Auburn Hills, MI.

Pay Range: $35/hr. to $38/hr. on w2. (The pay may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.)

Mechatronics - Switches Design Release Engineer – Roles and Responsibilities

• Involved in the design, development, and release of mechatronic switch systems (interior/exterior switches, switch banks, HMI controls), ensuring compliance with Stellantis technical, quality, cost, and timing requirements.
• Own engineering release activities including CAD/drawing release, DFMEA, DVP&R, specifications, and change management using PLM tools (e.g., Teamcenter).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure proper electrical, mechanical, and system integration, manufacturability, and program readiness.
• Support validation, launch, and field issue resolution, driving root-cause analysis and continuous product improvement.
