We’re seeking a versatile engineer to join a leading engineering and manufacturing business, designing and building innovative mechanical systems. This hybrid role blends office-based product design with on-site CNC programming, giving you the chance to influence both design and production. The primary focus is CNC programming, which drives immediate efficiency gains, alongside product design and hands-on manufacturing expertise. This is a hybrid office/shop-floor role, with occasional travel to vendor or partner sites.

Manufacturing Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / CNC Engineer Role
- Design and model mechanical products using SolidWorks and Fusion 360
- Program CNC machinery, guide shop-floor operators, and implement manufacturing improvements
- Develop and optimize toolpaths for new and existing products
- Work hands-on with piping, fluidic systems, and assemblies (PVC, Schedule 40/80)
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and procurement teams to enhance product performance
- Support vendor engagement, procurement, and materials sourcing where needed
- Contribute to new product development initiatives from concept through production
Manufacturing Design Engineer / Product Development Engineer / CNC Engineer Requirements
- Proven CNC programming experience (primary skill)
- Strong SolidWorks design and modeling capability
- Hands-on manufacturing experience with piping, fluidic systems, or related assemblies
- Practical understanding of product development and shop-floor processes
- Ability to work in a hybrid office and manufacturing environment
- Portfolio or demonstrable work preferred over years of experience
- Bonus: Vendor management or procurement experience
