Description: Space Systems Command is seeking a seasoned acquisition leader to shape the future of national security space capabilities as a critical driver for the Battlespace Intelligence System Program. In this premier civilian leadership role, you will lead a multi-disciplinary team to solve highly complex problems, develop long-range strategic plans, and make authoritative decisions that directly impact the information advantage of the joint warfighter. To succeed, you must possess recent Space Operational Intelligence experience, a deep understanding of how intelligence supports operational warfighting cycles like Battle Management, Command and Control (BMC2) and Targeting, and a mastery of the DoD acquisition lifecycle. This includes expert navigation of the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) process, execution of investment funds, Space Force task management, Program Element (PE) financial tracking, and the nuances between National Intelligence Program (NIP) and Military Intelligence Program (MIP) funding. If you are ready to apply your technical and procedural expertise to mentor a high-performing organization and leave a lasting legacy in space operations, this is your opportunity to drive mission-critical systems forward. The ideal candidate for the Battlespace Intelligence System Program is an expert-level Program Manager to serve as a key leader focused on achieving intelligence information dominance through the acquisition of advanced mission systems. In this role, you will oversee a complex "program of programs" that integrates multi-source intelligence-ranging from satellite reconnaissance and electronic signals to tactical reports-to provide commanders with a comprehensive, real-time picture of the operational environment. Beyond standard program management, you will be responsible for acquiring the essential systems that collect, process, and disseminate critical intelligence, ensuring joint forces maintain the decision advantage to see, understand, and act faster than any adversary. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process. 4. Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, test, and manufacturing. 5. Ability to supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, and work with subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy and to use computers and a variety of software programs and databases, gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management and contractors.
