Job Description

Department Trainer | Now Hiring | Temple, TX

Compensation:

  • Pay rate starting at $29.54-$31.78 per hour

Available Shifts:

  • 3:30pm-12:00pm - shift premium $1.00 per hour
  • 11:30pm-8:00am - shift premium $1.25 per hour

Job Overview: The purpose of this positon is to provide training for newly hired temporary and full-time employees. This position also provides on-going job progression training for current employees. Tasks include, but are not limited to Critical and General Safety Rules/Guidelines, Basic Operation of Packaging Equipment, Line, Changeover Operations, Proper Response to Upset Conditions, Line Start-up, Routine Process Adjustments, etc.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must be a certified Operator Specialist I or have minimum of five years operator experience.
  • Must be physically able to perform the essential job duties: stand approximately 12 hours per shift, lift 26-36 pounds on a frequent basis, and work in an un-air-conditioned environment
  • Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow all established safety rules and standard operating procedures.
  • Will coordinate and oversee the execution and follow through of the operator training packets
  • Must be able to identify training opportunities and create resolutions
  • Must be able to communicate across different levels of management
  • Individual must be able to multi task and work unsupervised
  • Required to attend daily, weekly and quarterly meetings as necessary
  • Must be able to lead by example
  • May be required to review existing SOP’s for accuracy
  • Assist with Orientation and Onboarding as needed
  • Works overtime as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Must be a Certified Operator Associate or have minimum of five years operator experience.
  • Familiar with Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Type 30+ WPM

ESSENTIAL PERSONAL ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven communication skills (both written and verbal), computer skills, good organization skills and a passion to teach.
  • Must be able to work well and effectively with others.
  • Maintains excellent safety record.
