Summary of Responsibilities
The Dental Clinic Manager has administrative responsibility for the daily operations of the dental clinic including completion of daily, monthly, and year end reports in coordination with the Associate Dean of Dental Programs. The Dental Clinic Manager will also act as a patient advocate and facilitate student success as they complete their clinical requirements.The dental clinic Manager is responsible for the supervision of clinic dentists, including recruitment and scheduling. This is an exempt management position that reports to the Associate Dean of Dental Programs

The Dental Clinic Manager is responsible for all dental front office operations as well as maintaining communication between all faculty, staff and students. The Dental Clinic Manager
must possess a strong ability to prioritize and exhibit multi-level decision making abilities
  • Hiring, supervision and scheduling of clinic dentists
  • Review and maintain credentialing of all clinic dentists
  • Create schedule based on faculty/student clinical needs
  • Oversight of patient relations
  • Responsible for insurance and billing
  • Implementation and daily operations of the cloud-based patient management system, including the coordination of problem solving with internal and vendor IT departments
  • Act as HIPAA Officer
  • Scheduling of appointments to maintain student required experiences and patient access to care
  • Treatment plan management including entering, reviewing, and mailing plans to the patient per the clinic's Patient Quality Assurance Plan
  • Balancing day end, month end and year end reports
  • Reviewing and supervising all insurance claims both private and DSHS
  • Possess knowledge of the Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) dental plans
  • Minimum of 2 years dental front office experience
  • Experience with Fuse or other cloud-based patient management systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA compliance regulations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and engage others
  • Demonstrated communication skills and ability to function as an effective team member
  • Demonstrated organization and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, interface in cross functional teams across the college and manage systemic changes
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and on a team
  • Demonstrated ability to write and speak effectively to diverse audiences for multiple purposes
  • Demonstrated technical ability with computers and dental software systems
  • Demonstrated experience with office/business procedures and processes
  • Demonstrated ability to work successfully with patients, students, staff, and faculty
  • Demonstrated ability to work with clients/patients of diverse backgrounds, including non-native English speakers, and a commitment to a culturally diverse work environment
Preferred qualifications
  • Masters or Bachelor degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage staff through significant changes in systems or processes
  • Previous supervisory experience
Compensation & Work Schedule
Salary placement is $6,466 per month. This is a 40-hours per week, exempt position.
