Global Delivery Services refers to EY's worldwide network of service delivery centres. The GDS team plays an important role in EY’s strategy by ensuring effective support to EY’s growth agenda.

Our journey started in 2002 with approximately 200 people. Today we stand at 80,000+ professionals in ten locations around the world. We operate in Argentina, China, Hungary, India, Philippines, Poland, Sri Lanka, Mexico, Spain and the United Kingdom.

Client service is focused on providing Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy & Transactions, and Knowledge support to our clients around the world. The teams enable account teams worldwide to provide seamless, high-quality, value-added support, helping deliver exceptional client service.

The Opportunity: Manager Cloud Native Developer (AWS)

As enterprises accelerate adoption of cloud, AI, and platform-based architectures, EY GDS is seeking a Manager – Cloud Native Developer who brings deep technical breadth and architectural maturity across cloud-native ecosystems.

In this role, you will act as a technology leader and solution driver, responsible for shaping cloud architectures, guiding engineering teams, and enabling secure, scalable, AI-enabled platforms for global clients. You will work closely with architects, product owners, security teams, and leadership to deliver high-impact cloud transformation initiatives.

Roles and Responsibilities

Technology & Architecture Leadership

• Design and implementation of cloud-native architectures on AWS, aligned to Well-Architected Framework principles
• Define reference architectures for microservices, serverless, and container-based platforms
• Drive architectural decisions across scalability, resilience, performance, security, and cost optimization
• Review and govern solution designs, ensuring consistency with enterprise and cloud security standards
• Experience in working with development best practices and approaches such as TDD, BDD and AI collaborative development.

Cloud-Native Engineering Development

• Hands on experience in building microservices and APIs using Java.
• Design and develop solution based on serverless, event-driven systems, and asynchronous processing.
• Hands on knowledge of EKS, containerization, and orchestration strategies.
• Establish best practices for observability, logging, tracing, and reliability engineering.

AI & GenAI Proficiency

• Adoption of AI-enabled and GenAI-based application patterns within cloud-native solutions
• Hands on experience on:
  • Integrating LLMs and AI services into enterprise applications
  • Designing prompt-driven, agent-based, or workflow-augmented systems
  • Application implementation of RAG, MCP
  • Applying responsible AI and security considerations in AI usage
• Act as a technical advisor on AI readiness and AI-driven modernization

People, Delivery & Stakeholder Management

• Mentor senior and mid-level engineers; provide technical coaching and career guidance
• Act as a technical escalation point for complex engineering challenges
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business outcomes into technology roadmaps
• Support pre-sales, solutioning, and technical estimations when required

Technical Skills – Primary

• Lanuage & Framework: Java / Springboot / Spring MVC or NodeJS / Python
• Cloud Architecture & Design: Landing zone, VPC, ECS, EKS, Lambda, SNS, SQS, EventBridge, S3, RDS, IAM, Route53
• Serverless: Lambda, Aurora, ECS Fargate, DynamoDB etc
• EKS & Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS
• Cloud Security: IAM, VPC design, encryption, zero trust concepts, KMS, VPC endpoint etc)
• AI / GenAI Proficiency with Bedrock, Bedrock Agent Core, Sagemaker

Technical Skills – Secondary

Cloud Security & Compliance

• Ensure cloud security-by-design, including IAM, network security, data protection, and secrets management
• Partner with InfoSec teams to implement secure architectures, threat modelling, and compliance controls
• Drive adherence to enterprise standards for data privacy, regulatory compliance, and risk management

DevOps, IaC & Platform Enablement

• Define and standardize DevOps and CI/CD strategies across programs
• Enable automated provisioning, policy-as-code, and environment governance
• Promote platform engineering practices to improve developer productivity

Good to Have

• Full-stack exposure including modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with platform engineering or internal developer platforms
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments

• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption using Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
• 8 to 12 years of overall IT experience, with significant focus on cloud-native platforms
• Proven experience leading cloud architecture and engineering teams
• Hands-on exposure to AWS, containers, serverless, and AI-enabled systems
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise or global delivery environments
