The Chief Operating Office (COO) is responsible for delivering a more consistent approach to business operations across Wells Fargo, strengthening the company’s risk and control infrastructure, and delivering effective and efficient enterprise services to employees and customers.

The COO group includes the head of Operations, who is jointly responsible for line of business operations with each of the five LOB CEOs. Operations functions include contact center operations, client servicing support, money movements within our businesses, lending operations, and other functions.

The COO group also includes a number of teams dedicated to strengthening Wells Fargo’s risk and control infrastructure. These include the Control Executive team; Regulatory and Policy Affairs; Enterprise Customer Excellence; Sales Practices Oversight and Management; and Strategic Execution and Operations.

The Chief Administrative Office, encompassing the Corporate Properties Group; Corporate Security; Enterprise Business Resiliency; Strategic Programs and Process Improvement; Enterprise Change Management; Supply Chain Management; and Data Management and Insights, delivers important services for our employees and customers.

Data Management and Insights (DMI), which is responsible for the data strategy and capabilities at Wells Fargo, focuses on leveraging data as a strategic asset and is a growing organization. Data is critical to Wells Fargo’s continued success, deepening relationships with our customers, creating a seamless and convenient multi-channel experience, and meeting our commitment to satisfy our customers’ financial needs. DMI defines how we use information across the company, align our business practices and support our continued focus on great customer experience.

This Data Management Senior Consultant (Data Mgmt Sr. Consultant) role will report into the Privacy by Design (PbD) Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead under the Privacy Management and Execution group. The Data Mgmt Sr. Consultant will support policy/procedure changes to include privacy considerations, on-going project engagements where privacy impacts are identified, and PbD intake and management routines.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Help lead the capability development and operations of the Privacy by Design Center of Excellence
    Help lead the delivery of Privacy by Design guidelines, standards, capabilities, and processes across Wells Fargo
    Lead the delivery of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) for assigned engagements, including advising project teams to ensure Privacy requirements are incorporated into plans at an early stage
    Serve as a Privacy Subject Matter Expert (SME) who provides guidance and disseminates privacy related requirements across impacted enterprise initiatives, policies, and procedures
    Partner with internal stakeholders, including initiative leaders and policy/procedure owners, throughout the life-cycle process to ensure Privacy requirements are both understood and integrated
    Lead post integration/implementation monitoring to ensure expert privacy advice and requirements have been implemented according to the Privacy by Design CoE standards
    Provide coaching and guidance to more junior resources.

• 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: data management, data governance, data quality or data analysis
• 5+ years of process definition and documentation experience
• 4+ years of leadership experience
• 3+ years of experience working with laws, rules and regulations within regulatory guidelines or policies
• 4+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience or a combination of both
• 7+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: strategy, implementation, data privacy, California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), information security or information risk management
• 2+ years of experience working with business and technical requirement documents

• Ability to interact effectively and confidently with senior management
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
• Knowledge and understanding of policy documentation creation
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge and understanding of U.S. privacy laws and regulations
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

• Privacy Certifications (e.g. CIPP/US, CIPM, CIPT)
• Experience within consumer-facing high data volume environment
• Relevant Privacy compliance or transformation experience

• Ability to provide and work from a home office
• Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening
• Ability to work additional hours as needed
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
