Location: Sacramento, CA
Duration: 12 Month Contract (with extensions)
Hours: Hybrid; Onsite Monday - Friday, 7AM-4PM
Pay Range: $20.14-24.51/hr
Must-Haves:
- 1+ year experience drafting in current versions of AutoCAD
- Knowledge of procedures, methods, and equipment, including computers and applicable software applications (Word, Excel, and databases)
- 1+ year experience using ArcGIS to view or edit spatial data
- Hardworking individual with a strong attention to detail that works well in a team environment
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking a dedicated Data Maintenance Technician that will work alongside the GIS team to support Information Management initiatives.
Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Apply principles of engineering, drafting, designing, and mathematics techniques.
- Enter, transfer, extract, and analyze to verify the accuracy of the data.
- Retrieve data from multiple databases to determine or correct sources of data inconsistencies or for report generation.
- Review and analyze information on sewer facilities surveyed.
- Create and update assets in AutoCAD 2D Mapping Enterprise (AME).
- Create documents or reports using Microsoft Office.
- Research pertinent information for data entry purposes.
- Maintain document management standards, custom attributes, and document classes.
- Assist users and customers regarding the data and processes used in the various electronic formats.
Ability to:
- Capture, maintain, and update data.
- Operate specialized data management applications.
- Read, understand, and interpret engineering plans, schematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) documents, and related documents.
