Level 2 Data Center Technician – Nationwide Travel

Travel Requirement:

75% Nationwide Travel / 25% Home Market Data Center Support

We are assembling a high-performing Level 2 Data Center Technician “Tiger Team” to support a large-scale, enterprise fiber infrastructure modernization project across multiple data center locations nationwide. This team will be among the first technical resources deployed at new sites to establish standards, processes, and execution best practices during the initial phases of each project.

Technicians in this role will play a critical part in ensuring each location is set up for success during the first 6–8 weeks, after which the team will transition to the next site. Between project deployments, technicians will support data center operations in their home market. This is an ideal role for experienced data center professionals who enjoy travel, hands-on technical work, and making an immediate impact.

• Serve as an early-stage technical lead at new data center sites during fiber infrastructure upgrades
• Support and execute cable replacement projects, including removal of legacy cabling and installation of fiber
• Perform hands-on data center work including troubleshooting, testing, and validation of cabling infrastructure
• Help establish and refine processes and procedures that will be followed by long-term project teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve data center issues independently with minimal ramp-up time
• Support ongoing data center operations in home markets during project downtime

• Proven experience working in data center environments
• Strong experience with cabling, cable replacement, and structured cabling projects
• Ability to troubleshoot physical layer and infrastructure-related issues
• Experience stepping into projects that are already in motion and contributing immediately
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a traveling technical team

• Flexibility to travel nationally for project work (typically up to two weeks at a time)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Professional, reliable, and adaptable in fast-moving environments
• Previous experience helping establish workflows or processes is a plus

• All travel arrangements are handled by the company
• Travel-related expenses are reimbursed in accordance with company policy

• Intermediate / Level 2 Data Center Technician

This is a Contract position based out of Council Bluffs, IA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Council Bluffs,IA.
