We are seeking Executive Advisors to shape, win and lead major client engagements, develop repeatable offers, and build high-performing teams aligned to client demand and GHD’s engineering strengths. You will support the delivery of innovative solutions across all infrastructure sectors, delivering tangible impacts for generations to come.

Role purpose

As an Executive Advisor, you will lead work winning and executive-level delivery across Data, Analytics & Insights engagements, while building and scaling team capability. You will operate as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shape repeatable offerings aligned to GHD’s core engineering services, and set the commercial and delivery rhythm required for sustainable growth.

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

1) Client Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and grow senior client relationships, positioning GHD as a trusted advisor for data and digital transformation in infrastructure. 
  • Engage and influence stakeholders across client and internal teams to progress concepts from opportunity to outcomes. 
  • Communicate complex technical and commercial concepts clearly to executive audiences, translating ambiguity into decisions.

2) Work Winning, Market Development & Offer Leadership

  • Identify and shape opportunities across priority infrastructure sectors, converting market pull into funded work and multi-year programs. 
  • Lead business development and technical shaping of offerings in your area, ensuring alignment with market need and GHD services. 
  • Contribute to business planning, mid-year reviews and quarterly updates for your portfolio, including pipeline and growth priorities.

3) Delivery Leadership & Executive Technical Oversight

  • Act as Project Director / Executive Delivery Lead on key engagements, accountable for outcomes, client satisfaction, and commercial performance. 
  • Provide directional oversight to data scientists and digital specialists; shape solution roadmaps and define the end-to-end delivery pathway. 
  • Review, oversee and approve major deliverables ensuring quality, defensibility, and relevance. 
  • Drive performance improvement using pragmatic, evidence-based approaches at tactical and strategic levels.


4) Capability Building

  • Build and lead teams, including defining skill needs, supporting recruitment, and growing capability sustainably. 
  • Support team retention and culture, developing high-trust teams, mentoring and progression pathways. 
  • Provide technical and “soft” mentoring to Senior Advisors and Advisors, strengthening the broader GHD business through capability uplift.

  • Data & AI Strategy: user research, roadmap development, business case design, operating model design
  • Data governance: ownership, definitions, lineage, controls/standards, compliance
  • Data foundations: architecture, data management, data security
  • Data integration: ingest, transform, data quality
  • Decision intelligence: BI/reporting, self‑serve, ML, AI & GenAI

 

What you will bring to the team:

  • We would love to hear from you if you bring 12+ years’ experience with a strong track record in some combination of:
  • Significant experience in data and digital transformation in infrastructure
  • Leading and building teams in your professional area, including mentoring and capability uplift.
  • Leading client accounts and relationships at executive / budget-holder level, and converting relationships into work. 
  • Clear and confident communication and presentation up to board level regarding technical concepts and trade-offs. 
  • Ability to review, oversee and prepare high-quality deliverables (reports, dashboards, and executive-ready presentations). 
  • Demonstrable support for inclusion and diversity initiatives, ideally leading change and acting as a role model. 
  • Strong management and leadership capability alongside work winning and delivery activities.

Benefits:

  • 401K - Employees are eligible to participate on the first day of the month following 3 months of service
  • Paid time off – Our PTO benefit is designed to provide eligible employees with a period of rest and relaxation, sick, and personal time throughout the year. PTO starts at 16 days per year and increases with years of service
  • Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
  • Wellness Benefit- Regular full-term employees are eligible to participate in the wellness reimbursement program. GHD will reimburse 50% of the cost of the following to maximum of $250.00 reimbursement annually for such items as: Health club membership fees, home exercise equipment purchases, Bicycles, Race, run & marathon entrance fees, Smoking cessation programs, Weight loss programs (i.e.—Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig), Fitbits and Fitness Tracking devices

 

Salary Range: $112,860 to $188,000 based on experience
