Job Title: Compliance / Data Analyst
Job Description

The Compliance / Data Analyst supports Sunshine Act (Open Payments) reporting and data validation efforts by collecting, validating, and reconciling financial and transactional data to ensure accurate, timely, and audit-ready regulatory reporting within a healthcare or biotech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, and organize data related to payments and transfers of value to healthcare providers.
  • Support Sunshine Act / Open Payments reporting to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
  • Perform data quality checks to identify discrepancies, gaps, and reporting issues in large datasets.
  • Reconcile financial and transactional data across multiple systems, including accounts payable, Concur, and CRM platforms.
  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory reviews.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track compliance, data integrity, and reporting metrics using reporting and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, Finance, Commercial, Medical Affairs, and other business partners to ensure accurate data and compliant reporting.
  • Respond to data inquiries from internal stakeholders and assist with dispute resolution processes related to reported payments.
  • Monitor regulatory updates related to Sunshine Act / Open Payments and support ongoing adherence to reporting requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of data management, validation, and reconciliation processes to enhance data quality and compliance.
  • Contribute to a data-driven, detail-oriented culture focused on accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
Essential Skills
  • 1–2+ years of experience in data analysis, compliance, or reporting roles.
  • Strong experience working with data analysis and compliance reporting, specifically handling financial or payment-related data.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with large datasets and performing data validation and reconciliation.
  • Experience reconciling data across multiple systems such as accounts payable, Concur, and CRM platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data quality checks and identify discrepancies in complex datasets.
  • Experience supporting regulatory or compliance reporting processes, ideally including Sunshine Act / Open Payments.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation.
  • Effective cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to work closely with Legal, Finance, Commercial, and Medical Affairs teams.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet defined reporting deadlines.
  • Solid understanding of data management principles and data validation best practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Exposure to Sunshine Act / Open Payments reporting and CMS requirements is a strong plus.
  • Experience working with financial or payment data within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Concur and CRM systems in the context of expense, payment, or HCP data management.
  • Experience with reporting tools and data visualization platforms, such as Tableau, to build reports and dashboards.
  • Interest in developing expertise in compliance, data integrity, and audit readiness.
  • Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Work Environment

This role operates in a collaborative, cross-functional environment, working closely with teams such as Compliance, Finance, Legal, Commercial, and Medical Affairs. The position is highly detail-oriented and data-driven, with a strong focus on accuracy, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. The work is fast-paced and deadline-driven due to defined federal reporting timelines, particularly around Sunshine Act / Open Payments submissions to CMS. You will regularly work with financial and transactional data across systems like accounts payable, Concur, and CRM platforms, as well as reporting and visualization tools such as Excel and Tableau. The environment offers significant exposure to federal reporting requirements, healthcare and biotech operations, and audit readiness practices, providing opportunities for professional growth in compliance and data analytics.

This is a Contract position based out of Alameda, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
