Insurance Customer Service Representative
A locally trusted, relationship-focused insurance agency providing personalized coverage solutions across auto, home, renters, flood, umbrella, and other personal lines. The team is known for delivering responsive, consultative service and building long-term client relationships—not transactional interactions.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Customer Service Representative to serve as a key point of contact for clients. This is a service first role focused on helping customers manage and understand their policies, make updates, and ensure proper coverage. This is not a high-pressure sales role; the primary focus is client support and relationship building. That said, there are opportunities to upsell or enhance coverage when appropriate, with additional incentives provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with servicing existing policies (updates, changes, renewals, billing inquiries)
- Respond to inbound calls, emails, and service requests in a timely, professional manner
- Support clients across multiple personal lines products including auto, home, renters, flood, umbrella, and more
- Conduct basic coverage reviews and help clients understand their policies and options
- Process policy changes and maintain accurate client records
- Assist clients with online tools and policy management platforms
- Identify opportunities to improve or expand coverage when appropriate (incentivized, not required)
Qualifications:
- Active Florida 4-40 Customer Representative license (required)
- Prior insurance agency or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with a client-first, relationship-driven mindset
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Tech-savvy and able to learn agency management systems
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base salary: $40,000 – $50,000 (depending on experience)
- Additional earnings through upsell incentives (“spiffs”)
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office / 2 days remote, 8:30am – 4:30pm
- $300/month stipend toward health insurance (no employer-sponsored plan)
- 2 weeks paid time off
