About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Operations & Satellite Planning (COSP) Specialist to support satellite imagery operations and customer delivery workflows for advanced Earth observation systems.
In this role, you will serve as a key interface between customers and internal technical teams, ensuring seamless order management, satellite tasking, and delivery of high-quality imagery and analytics products. You will play a critical role in planning satellite acquisitions, maintaining customer satisfaction, and improving operational processes in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer orders from submission through delivery of satellite imagery and analytics products
- Prepare feasibility studies for satellite imagery acquisition based on mission requirements
- Plan and allocate satellite resources for SAR image collection
- Perform quality control of acquired SAR imagery to ensure product standards are met
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers via email, phone, and chat, providing updates on order status and performance reporting
- Improve customer experience by conducting regular business review calls and maintaining strong relationships
- Address and resolve customer inquiries, issues, and concerns in a timely manner
- Coordinate and deliver training sessions for internal teams and external customers
- Collaborate cross-functionally with satellite operations, sales, analytics, product, and software engineering teams to resolve issues
- Contribute to process improvements and maintain accurate operational documentation
- Track and report key performance metrics, identifying trends and anomalies
- Maintain a strong understanding of products, services, and operational workflows
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Earth Science, Environmental Science, or a related technical field
- 1–3 years of customer service experience in a B2B environment
- Familiarity with GIS and remote sensing concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high levels of accuracy
- Team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong sense of accountability, responsiveness, and quality focus
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
- Experience with Earth observation tools or platforms (e.g., SNAP or similar)
- Familiarity with customer service performance metrics and reporting
- Proficiency in additional languages
