Our client, a leading organization in the engineering industry, is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Critical Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Data Center Operations team supporting critical infrastructure management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, proactive communication, and a commitment to operational excellence, which will align successfully in the organization.
Manage and oversee on-site operations of shift technicians, senior technicians, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
Establish performance benchmarks, analyze operational data, and prepare detailed reports on facility performance and maintenance activities.
Coordinate with IT managers and business leaders to manage capacity, optimize safety, and improve system performance and reliability.
Operate and maintain critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, cooling equipment, and building monitoring systems, including emergency response procedures.
Assist in projects aimed at increasing facility efficiency and effectiveness, while managing asset and inventory control.
What's Needed?
Bachelor’s Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree with relevant experience.
2-4 years of experience in data center operations or related fields.
Management experience overseeing technical teams or operations.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership, organizational skills, and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
