A Ford Cost Estimator is a technical manufacturing specialist responsible for predicting and analyzing the total cost of vehicle components, systems, and manufacturing processes. Ford utilizes 'bottom-up' technical cost modeling to evaluate material, labor, and overhead expenses, ensuring that new vehicle programs meet profitability targets while maintaining Ford’s quality standards.

The Cost Engineer/Cost Analyst for this position must have experience in more than one of the following:
BIW Stamping and sheet metal products
Assembly integration and optimization
All forms of metal casting: Ferrous, AL, Mg
Extrusions
Machining
Roll forming
Plating and coatings
Metallurgist
Experience using Estimating Software to develop should cost estimates such as FACTON, ARRORI, SIEMANS.
Ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs of components by reviewing drawings, engineering specifications, and functional requirements.
Demonstrate a proven grasp of business concepts as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills.
Ability to assess cost benefit analysis of different supplier manufacturing methods.
Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.
