A prestigious Am Law firm is seeking a Corporate M&A and Private Equity Associate Attorney with 3+ years of experience to join its Chicago office. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex mergers and acquisitions, including private equity and private target transactions, within a growing and high-performing practice group.
This partner-track position provides hands-on deal experience, direct client interaction, and the ability to contribute meaningfully to high-value transactions from inception through closing.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage and execute mergers and acquisitions transactions from inception to closing
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure successful deal execution
• Conduct due diligence and draft transaction agreements and related documents
• Advise clients on legal, regulatory, and business risks associated with transactions
• Support private equity deals and corporate structuring matters
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to facilitate efficient transaction processes

Qualifications
• Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Corporate M&A Associate Attorney or Private Equity Attorney
• Experience handling private equity and M&A transactions required
• Prior experience at an Am Law 100 firm strongly preferred
• Admission to the Illinois Bar required or eligibility for admission
• Excellent academic credentials
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
