Job Description
The Corporate & Investment Bank Treasury is a critical function within CIB Finance and Business Management. It is responsible for managing the liquidity, balance sheet and capital positions of the investment banking businesses, establishing transparent and market-based funds transfer pricing policy, and developing methodologies and metrics to improve the leverage, capital, collateral and liquidity risk management capabilities of the CIB. Additionally, CIB Treasury interacts heavily with Global Treasury in developing stress assumptions, contributing to the resolution plan submission, producing liquidity risk metrics and analysis including intraday aspects; managing CIB balance sheet and leverage ratios; and consolidating management and regulatory reporting.
The CIB Capital Controllers team is a group within the CIB Treasury function whose primary responsibility is reporting of the risk weighted assets (RWA), supplementary leverage ratio (SLR), and global systematically important banks (G-SIB) components for the CIB. The team ensures the CIB businesses' RWA and Capital metrics are in line with the overall firmwide framework, and is also responsible for allocating capital to the CIB Lines of Businesses (LoBs) in accordance to an internally devised methodology. As a result, the team members are expected to be subject matter experts (SMEs) in their specific field and to provide insight and guidance into the usage of capital. Clients of the group include corporate counterparts, senior management, capital policy and legal, business heads, LoB product controllers, and planning and analysis (P&A) teams. The team works extensively with the CIB Sub-LoB controllers to attest to the completeness and accuracy of the monthly and quarterly CIB results, as well as prepare analysis packs for senior management. The group also partners with the Capital Management Office to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the regulatory landscape and the accurate execution of current and new capital policies and regulations.
Position Overview
We are looking for a strategic thinker to be part of a high-performing finance team who serves as a trusted advisor to CIB management and corporate partners, providing clarity on best usage of analytics to gain insights, evaluate metrics, and drive results. The Associate will act as part of a team covering FR Y-15 (GSIB)/SLR and RWA reporting with a focus on providing detailed analytics and reporting of results in the field. The Associate's responsibilities will also include end-to-end ownership of the internal capital allocation methodology, managing ad-hoc projects around new business initiatives, implementation of new rules and policy guidance, and advising CIB Sub-LoBs in a subject-matter-expert (SME) capacity.

Job Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end reporting of CIB FR Y-15 (GSIB)/SLR and RWA results based on a monthly and quarterly cycle including, but not limited to:
Responsibility for coordinating results consolidation and dissemination, collection and preparation of adjustments and management saves
Partnering with Corporate and CIB Sub-LoB controller teams to review accuracy and completeness of reporting, as well as identify major drivers and themes
Creating in-depth period over period analysis for senior management reviews
Oversee CIB's internal capital allocations model partnering with CIB P&A and CIB Treasurer to:
Perform periodic methodology assessment & updates, including leading internal model risk reviews and disseminating new guidance to CIB Sub-LoBs
Supervise monthly calculation and charges of capital for the CIB Sub-LoBs
Serve as SME and advise senior management, LoB leads, and Corporate partners on a wide range of topics including new business initiatives, policy changes, and new rules implementation.
Execute ad hoc analysis in support of financial and strategic goals; prepare business review materials
Partner with Capital Policy, Corporate Accounting Policy, and Legal teams on implementation of new capital rules and regulatory requirements
Leverage a deep understanding of the CIB operations and financial principles and a working knowledge of key business drivers to coordinate, assess, and execute the long-term goals and priorities of the team
Proactively identify areas of opportunity to enhance controls and increase operational efficiency by closing reporting gaps, addressing data limitations, and furthering the team automation agenda
Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and finance partners across the firm
