Corporate Engineering Manager

Primary Accountability Areas

  • Lead and coach a team of engineers responsible for process performance and production support
  • Define departmental priorities, performance targets, and improvement roadmaps
  • Build technical depth and succession capability within the engineering organization
  • Act as the senior technical authority for assigned engineering disciplines
  • Direct manufacturing line launches, equipment commissioning, and tool transitions
  • Ensure engineering support for extended, multi‑shift and multi‑week startup activities
  • Establish repeatable startup methodologies and documentation standards
  • Provide escalation support for complex production or equipment issues across sites
  • Identify and deploy efficiency improvement opportunities using data and root‑cause analysis
  • Lead initiatives focused on:
  • Yield and waste reduction
  • Cycle time and throughput enhancement
  • Rapid changeover and setup reduction
  • Continuous improvement and Kaizen execution
  • Material usage and product optimization
  • Develop and maintain technical standards, work instructions, and operating guidelines
  • Oversee technical planning and execution for capital projects and facility changes
  • Support equipment layout, ergonomics, labor design, and performance metrics
  • Manage technical evaluation and selection of equipment suppliers and service partners
  • Ensure reliability, safety, and scalability are embedded into engineering solutions
  • Partner with operations, quality, supply chain, and leadership to align engineering priorities
  • Present technical analyses, recommendations, and outcomes to senior leaders
  • Support long‑term technology planning and capacity expansion strategies
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into practical business decisions

Candidate Profile

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Technical Experience

  • Strong background in manufacturing processes, production equipment, and facility systems
  • Experience with plastics processing
  • Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting, process stability, and reliability improvement
  • Solid understanding of quality systems, cost drivers, and manufacturing economics

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Ability to influence across functions and levels, including executive leadership
  • Effective communicator with both technical and non‑technical audiences
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills
  • Track record of building engaged, high‑performing teams
